The Titan Krios is a 300kV cryogenic transmission electron microscope that enables high-resolution structure visualization via single-particle electron microscopy as well as electron tomography. The Krios is equipped with a Gatan K3 direct detector, a Gatan BioQuantum energy filter, a Ceta 16M camera, a Volta phase plate, and a single axis tilt holder (+/- 70 degrees).
The Krios is reserved for data collection sessions, most commonly with pre-screened grids. The following applications are recommended for the Krios:
- Single-particle data collection (up to ~800 images/hour)
- Tomography data collection
- Tilted single particle data collection
